When Demons are plotting an attack against the city of Trebridge because their home isn't warm enough to keep their offspring eggs alive, it's up to eight unlikely heroes to save the day. The Angeli need help so they enlist the four Gargoyle Guardians to save the city. Gillen, the leader of the Gargoyles, isn't like the other Gargoyles and because of this doesn't have full authority over his group. So what do the Angeli do when Gillen and the rest of the Guardians need help? They send help in the form of four teenagers led by fourteen year old magically powerful Britt Kelly. But Britt doesn't want any of this and her conflict of interest is clearly seen. Can eight nobodies save the city from from Demons and their allies, the imps? Or will Trebridge become demon central?


This book flows well and kept me reading. The story line is great and the teenage angst makes it interesting to say the least. The addition of Gargoyles was a nice change of pace as they are seldom characters, let alone main characters All of the main characters are well developed and it's not only the humans who grow throughout the story. Lots of mistakes are made but the characters learn from those mistakes. This is a great book for anyone who has ever felt like they weren't enough, and perseverance is an admirable trait in these characters. The only thing I wish is that there was more development of their world. For me, it fell a bit flat. There were very few typos and it was easy to read. I look forward to reading more from this author.
