Owen Hadley is in the same boat as his best friend Leo Graham. He needs to find a wealthy heiress and compromise her so they will be forced to marry. He sets his sights on Rowena Pepperwirth, but once again fate intervenes. He is forced to marry her older sister Mildred Pepperwirth.


When we first meet Milly as she likes to be called, she is cold and abrupt. But as the story continues, you get to understand her a lot more. You get that aha moment, and you fall in love with her.


I really enjoy how the story was crafted. You get to see your favorite characters from the first book. YAY! Lauren Smith really knows how to make the characters redeemable and relatable. This is a huge bonus for me. The characters really make the story unique and perfect.
